Survey Uncovers Public Confusion With Disability Coverage

A recent national survey of 2,500 adults found that most people don't understand their disability coverage. Interesting findings include:

  • 2/3 of respondents don't know what their own disability plans cover
  • 3/4 of respondents didn't have disability coverage
  • 1/10 worry that they will jinx themselves by buying coverage
  • 1/2 admit they couldn't afford to be out of work if they suffered an injury or illness
Statistics like this demonstrate just how poorly informed most people are when it comes to insurance.
